Dead Dove: Do Not Eat.

This designation means that the dark themes and heavy subject matter listed below are actively present in this portrayal. If you choose to follow, you are choosing to engage with these elements as they are written.

Do not proceed if these topics cause you discomfort or distress.

  • childhood trauma & death : ㅤThe character is, by definition, a deceased child. Threads will inevitably touch upon his death and the loss of his childhood.

  • medical trauma & hospital environments : ㅤPossible references to life support equipment, comas, medical instruments, and clinical settings from his final days.

  • fatal injury, blood, gore, violence, etc. : ㅤThis character's specific cause of death was a mechanical accident that literally crushed his head. His ghostly form permanently reflects this: he wears bandages wrapped tightly around his head that are frequently soaked with fresh blood.

  • child abuse & neglect, toxic family environments : Portrayal of a ( now past )toxic, unsafe household environment, severe emotional neglect, fear of parental figures, and relentless sibling bullying and psychological torment.

  • psychological horror, body horror, existential horror.

  • dissociation, depersonalization, identity blurring : ㅤBecause the character's soul is fragmented and bound to another spirit ( cassidy ) writing may feature sudden shifts in identity, loss of mental or physical autonomy, memory gaps, and confusion over who is in control of thoughts or actions.

backstory

Born on October 31,1976,Evan was the youngest of the Afton children. His mother's pregnancy with him had been the toughest of the three, and from the moment he was born,he was always an incredibly sensitive kid.He was extremely close with his mother and slow to grow out of needing her comfort. He kept his pacifier for far too long, and while their father disapproved, she was his safe space—letting him hide his face in her skirts when the house was too loud and humming soft lullabies to calm his frequent crying spells. He shared a close bond with both siblings;his slightly older sister,Elizabeth, who would share her toys with him, hold his hand when he was frightened, and brush his dark curls into pigtails, which he actually loved.and in his early years, his oldest brother,Michael.Michael didn't just read him bedtime stories;he would do all the silly voices to make Evan laugh, check the closet and under the bed for imaginary monsters, and let Evan sleep tucked safely into his side whenever he had nightmares. The warmth of his childhood was shattered by his parents' toxic marriage and his mother's severe postpartum depression.During a vicious custody battle,William manipulated a young Michael into privately testifying against his mother to the judge.William won full custody, and in her absolute despair,Mrs.Afton took her own life.Evan was utterly devastated by the sudden loss of the mother he relied on so heavily.William loved his children in a twisted way,but he was a cold, emotionally neglectful father.Evan was intimidated by him and remained perfectly obedient out of fear.William even used Evan's favorite Fredbear plush to spy on and manipulate him—though the plush was also possessed by a spirit that spoke to Evan when William wasn't around. To make matters worse,Michael changed as he entered his teen years.he lashed out, transforming into a cruel teenager who relentlessly bullied his younger brother. He would lock Evan in his bedroom with the lights off for hours, mock him,and jump out from dark corners wearing a Foxy mask just to watch him panic,.Following his mother's death and this chilling change in behavior, Evan retreated entirely inward, becoming almost completely mute as words failed him in a home where nobody ever listened anyway.Evan never understood why or what he did wrong;he genuinely believed somewhere along the way that Michael just started hating him,a narrative that his father fed into, and that was the heartbreaking thought he held onto up to the very moment he died.Evan was not a brave child in the traditional sense. He was timid and easily frightened, finding comfort in his plush toys and a small group of friends ( the kids who would later become the missing children ).He was especially close to Cassidy. At some point,Evan witnessed something incredibly traumatic involving the animatronics at his father's diner.Whatever it was,it terrified him into silence. He never spoke a word about it to anyone.Evan was the first Afton child to die.On his seventh birthday in 1983,a cruel prank by Michael ended with Evan being shoved into the mechanical jaws of Fredbear. The machine crushed his skull, and he later died from the fatal trauma in a hospital—the tragic event that caused Fredbear's Family Diner to close for good.Because the golden bear was the machine that killed him,it naturally became his primary vessel in the afterlife. He possessed it alone at first, until he was eventually joined by the spirit of his friend Cassidy, leaving them to share the space together.Evan exists now in a state of perpetual fragmentation.Because the trauma of his death shattered his soul,he suffers from severe memory loss and cognitive gaps.As a ghost, he is selectively mute, often struggling to find or form the right words to communicate his thoughts properly—a limitation that leaves him deeply frustrated and isolated within his own mind. His feelings toward Michael are a deeply complicated. At his absolute core,he still loves his big brother and desperately wants to forgive him, clinging to the memories of the boy who used to read him bedtime stories and hold him when he had nightmares. At the same time,he isn't blind to Michael's own torment—he recognizes the heavy physical toll that has come with michael's current existence, the crushing weight of the guilt, and the harsh truth that Michael was just as much a victim of their father's abuse and manipulation as he was.Yet,despite this underlying empathy and understanding,he cannot always escape the overwhelming anger that often bubbles to the surface.Michael is the reason he is like this—broken, cold, and trapped—having robbed him of his future and ensuring that Evan will remain a frightened seven-year-old boy forever, never getting the chance to grow up.This profound sense of unfairness frequently triggers volatile emotional outbursts. While this fury is heavily amplified by Cassidy, whose vengeful nature bleeds into his consciousness ,the underlying resentment is entirely Evan's own.He is trapped in a relentless cycle of yearning for his older brother's comfort, seeing Michael's own suffering, and simultaneously being consumed by the uncontrollable rage of what his brother permanently took from him.Despite his volatile emotional outbursts,Evan is not naturally a malicious, angry,or vengeful ghost;most of the time,he is simply too consumed by his own fear, confusion, and sorrow to care about malice. However, there is one major exception where he takes the reins rather than Cassidy:the night he cornered and killed Phone Guy.Unlike the innocent children whose lives were stolen,Phone Guy was a corporate insider and middle-management representative who was deeply complicit in Fazbear Entertainment's dark underbelly—intimately aware of,if not directly involved in,covering up the deaths and disposing of previous nightguards. He was morally bankrupt and turned a blind eye to human lives, acting as a willing cog in the very machine that enabled horror and whitewashed tragedies. To Evan, trapping and ending Phone Guy was a rare act of poetic justice;live by the sword, die by the sword.

visual appearance ﹠ ghost anatomy

  • Apart from the gruesome elements of his fatal injury,Evan's ghost form retains a similar appearance of which he had when he was alive. He has a head of dark curls and light freckles scattered across his cheeks. However, his skin is entirely drained of natural warmth, making him extremely, unnaturally pale—resembling porcelain or a corpse.

  • His fatal head trauma is a part of his ghostly form,as such,He wears thick medical bandages wrapped tightly around his head. When he is emotionally distressed, these bandages become soaked with heavy amounts of "blood",causing him immense pain.

  • Because he died in a hospital, his spirit is locked into the belief that his wounds require medical maintenance. He frequently needs his bandages changed by another person;the act soothes his distress and temporarily stops the "bleed".

  • Much like the other lingering spirits of the deceased children in fnaf,Evan bears distinct, dark tear marks streaming from his eyes. His eyes themselves frequently appear as hollow, black voids, though they can retain the same hue as when he was alive. The tears manifest in two ways depending on his emotional state.Usually, they appear as heavy, dark gray or black streaks permanently staining his cheeks. However, when his agony worsens or his form destabilizes, these tears become a thick,ink-like substance that actively weeps and floats off his face in heavy droplets.During these moments of intense distress, the lower half and edges of his spiritual body may also appear tattered ﹠ wispy,

  • physical interaction :ㅤ

  • default incorporeal : ㅤBy default,Evan is untouchable.Attempting to grab him will result in your hand passing through.

  • tethered tangibility ( fragile ) :ㅤ Because his soul is fragmented,he can only become physically solid if he feels "tethered" or stabilized. This usually happens when he is intensely focused on a comfort object or kept steady by a calm presence. In this state,he can be touched or held, but it takes effort on his part to maintain it.

  • agony tangibility ( dangerous ) : ㅤExtreme, overwhelming emotion acts as a physical weight.During severe panic attacks,or when Cassidy's vengeful rage bleeds into his consciousness, his spiritual form violently condenses. In these moments,he becomes completely solid, freezing cold to the touch, and capable of exerting heavy physical force on his environment.

rules ﹠ guidelines

  • I am currently returning to active writing and character management following a creative hiatus,so please be patient with my response times as I navigate my way back into a steady rhythm.Real life, mental health, and personal responsibilities will always take absolute priority over roleplay obligations.i will extend the same grace to you as well.

  • The writer behind this account is strictly over the age of eighteen, and I request that all writing partners be eighteen or older as well.

  • There is a firm boundary between in-character actions and out-of-character feelings. If our characters are at each other's throats,it does not mean we are fighting as writers.

  • I generally write in the third-person past tense and prefer replies matching my length, though it is not required.all i ask is to avoid one-liners so we have enough material to keep the story moving forward.Quality will always matter much more to me than hitting a strict word count.

  • Communication is highly valued here;if a thread is no longer working out,a plot feels stuck,or you simply want to drop something entirely, just reach out and let me know.No hard feelings will ever be held.

  • as such,Please always ask before making massive,character-altering moves or drastic narrative shifts that heavily impact my character. While Evan is already dead—meaning traditional threats like killing him off don't apply to him—major plot changes, big narrative twists, or permanent alterations to his situation still require mutual agreement and communication.I will extend the exact same courtesy to you:ㅤI will never spring massive plot surprises or inflict major narrative changes on your character without discussing and clearing it with you first.

  • no godmodding. Do not control my character, dictate his emotional reactions,or land unavoidable physical hits in combat or hostile scenarios.Evan's thoughts, actions, and physical autonomy remain strictly under my jurisdiction at all times.

  • Metagaming is also strictly prohibited;your character cannot instantly know Evan's deep secrets, his traumatic past, the mechanics of his death, etc, unless he explicitly reveals that information to them or has a legitimate reason for knowing.

  • shipping & relationships : ㅤUnder absolutely no circumstances will this character be involved in any mature or NSFW interactions.Evan is canonically, and permanently,a deceased seven-year-old child. All interactions and plotted threads will primarily focus on platonic,familial,found-family,or antagonistic dynamics.I am,however, open to innocent,age-appropriate "puppy love" or cute kid crushes strictly with other characters around his age.Any attempts to push this boundary into anything inappropriate will result in an immediate and permanent block.
